About Vaughan
I am a blacksmith and metalworker dedicated to creating beautiful, enduring ironwork through a blend of traditional forging and modern fabrication techniques. My work is inspired by the great smiths and architects of the past and shaped by a belief that the built environment should be both functional and inspiring.
Along my journey, I have had the privilege of learning from master metalworkers in Japan, Philadelphia, Appalachia, and Charleston, each tradition leaving its mark on the way I approach craftsmanship and design. I enjoy working across a broad spectrum of styles—from the flowing forms of Art Nouveau and the grandeur of Gothic Revival to the honest simplicity of Craftsman design and the clean lines of contemporary work.
Every piece is designed and crafted by hand with an emphasis on honesty of materials, thoughtful design, and uncompromising craftsmanship. Whether creating architectural ironwork, sculpture, or custom commissions, my goal is simple: to forge work with soul—pieces that become part of a home’s story and endure for generations.
